Introduction
Eat My Oh‑Dough is a vibrant café located on Jalan Lintas Sumatra Ringroad, Komplek OCBC No. B65, Medan, North Sumatra. We specialize in a fusion of traditional Indonesian flavors with international pastries and light meals, creating a welcoming environment for food enthusiasts. We are looking for a dedicated Staf Dapur – Penanggung Jawab Persiapan & Penyajian Makanan who will take ownership of food preparation, kitchen hygiene, and the seamless execution of our service standards.
Responsibilities
- Study and master the café’s menu, product line, and overall Food & Beverage (F&B) concepts to ensure accurate preparation.
- Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes, including Japanese, Chinese, and traditional Indonesian cuisine, while adhering to recipe specifications.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production area, performing routine sanitation and deep‑cleaning tasks each shift.
- Monitor inventory levels, receive deliveries, and store ingredients following FIFO (first‑in‑first‑out) principles.
- Ensure all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and café systems are followed, contributing to consistent quality and guest satisfaction.
- Collaborate closely with front‑of‑house staff to coordinate order flow and timely service.
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment such as ovens, fryers, mixers, and slicers, reporting any malfunction promptly.
- Assist in menu development by suggesting innovative dishes, plating techniques, and cost‑effective ingredient substitutions.
- Work under a 3‑shift schedule (8 hours per shift) with one day off per week, ensuring flexibility to meet peak service periods.
- Prepare required documentation for daily production reports and health‑inspection logs.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Age: 18‑30 years (preferred range 18‑25).
- All genders welcome.
- At least 1 year of hands‑on experience in the F&B industry, preferably in a kitchen environment.
- Strong communication skills with a polite and professional demeanor.
- Disciplined work ethic, punctuality, and adherence to ethical standards.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure during busy service periods.
- Passion for culinary arts, especially kitchen operations and food innovation.
- Neat, presentable appearance and personal hygiene compliance.
- Residency in Medan and possession of a reliable personal vehicle for commuting.
- Not currently enrolled in college or holding another job.
- Willingness to commit to a 7‑month contract.
- Technical skills: proficiency with kitchen equipment, food safety handling, and basic knowledge of halal standards.
