Introduction
We are looking for a motivated Junior Interior Designer Intern to join our dynamic design studio. This internship offers a unique chance for active students or recent graduates in Interior Design, Architecture, or related disciplines to gain hands‑on experience in a fast‑moving, creative environment. You will work alongside seasoned professionals, contribute to real projects, and develop a solid foundation in the interior design process—from concept development to final execution. The position is full‑time, Monday to Saturday, 08:00‑17:00, and is ideal for individuals who are eager to translate academic knowledge into practical, industry‑standard solutions.
Responsibilities
- Assist senior designers in preparing schematic drawings, floor plans, elevations, and 3D renderings using AutoCAD, SketchUp, and visualization tools such as Lumion or Enscape.
- Develop mood boards, material palettes, and color schemes that align with client briefs and brand guidelines.
- Support the creation of detailed presentation packages, including renderings, diagrams, and specification sheets, for client meetings and design reviews.
- Participate in site visits to document existing conditions, take measurements, and verify that design intent is being executed correctly.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to source furniture, finishes, lighting, and accessories, ensuring selections meet budgetary and sustainability criteria.
- Maintain project documentation, update CAD libraries, and ensure all files are organized according to studio standards.
- Contribute ideas during brainstorming sessions, offering fresh perspectives on spatial layouts, ergonomics, and aesthetic trends.
- Respond promptly to feedback, revise design iterations, and adapt quickly to changing project requirements.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum high school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent; currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an Interior Design, Architecture, or related program.
- Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, Lumion or Enscape, and the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Creative Aptitude: Demonstrated ability to generate innovative design concepts and a keen eye for detail.
- Teamwork & Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams and articulating ideas clearly.
- Adaptability: Willingness to learn, take direction, and thrive in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
