Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar area, including regular inventory checks, ordering supplies, and rotating stock to minimize waste.
  • Adhere to all local licensing laws and health‑safety regulations, including responsible alcohol service and proper handling of hazardous materials.
  • Collaborate closely with kitchen staff, servers, and management to coordinate service flow during peak periods.
  • Handle cash and electronic payments accurately, reconcile receipts at the end of each shift, and report any discrepancies.
  • Train junior bar staff on cocktail techniques, proper glassware usage, and customer‑service protocols.
  • Respond swiftly and professionally to guest complaints, turning potential issues into positive outcomes.
  • Participate in regular staff meetings, tasting sessions, and promotional events to stay current with industry trends.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1–3 years of bartending or related hospitality experience; a background in upscale hotels, resorts, or high‑volume bars is preferred.
  • Educational attainment of at least a D3/D4 degree in hospitality, culinary arts, or a related field.
  • Strong command of English (spoken and written); additional language skills are an advantage.
  • Guest‑oriented mindset with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proven teamwork skills and the capacity to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
  • Professional, disciplined appearance with a well‑groomed presentation.
  • Sharp problem‑solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple orders simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle guest feedback and resolve complaints while maintaining composure.
  • Basic knowledge of drink‑presentation techniques, garnish preparation, and bar equipment maintenance.
