Introduction
We are seeking a motivated Cook Assistant to join our dynamic kitchen team in Sidoarjo. This entry‑level position is ideal for recent high school graduates or vocational school alumni who are eager to start a career in the fast‑growing food and beverage (F&B) industry. The successful candidate will work closely with chefs and senior kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations, maintain high standards of food quality, and contribute to a positive dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Assist senior cooks in preparing ingredients, including washing, chopping, and portioning vegetables, meats, and herbs.
- Support the assembly of dishes during service, ensuring timely delivery and consistent plating standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, storage areas, and cooking equipment in accordance with food safety regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels, report low stock items, and help with basic receiving and storage procedures.
- Follow standard operating procedures for food handling, temperature control, and waste management.
- Participate in daily kitchen briefings, taking note of menu changes, special dietary requests, and service priorities.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations before and after each shift.
- Provide courteous and effective communication with front‑of‑house staff to coordinate order flow and resolve any service issues.
- Continuously develop culinary skills through on‑the‑job training, mentorship, and occasional workshops offered by the company.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Gender: Female (per company policy).
- Age: Maximum 30 years old.
- Residence: Must be domiciled in Sidoarjo or nearby areas.
- Key Soft Skills: Discipline, strong sense of responsibility, quickness in task execution, and excellent communication abilities.
- Technical Skills: Basic cooking techniques, food preparation, and an eagerness to learn advanced culinary methods.
- Experience: Prior experience in the F&B sector is a plus but not mandatory; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to grow.
- Availability: Ability to work Monday through Saturday, from 08:00 to 17:00.
