Introduction
We are seeking a dynamic and results‑driven Marketing Development Officer to join our agricultural team in East Java. This role focuses on expanding the market presence of our hybrid corn seed and pesticide products across the provinces of Banyuwangi and Probolinggo. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working outdoors, engaging directly with farmers and local kiosks, and possessing strong negotiation and communication skills to drive adoption of our high‑performance agronomic solutions.
Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new sales channels (R1 and R2) within the assigned districts, ensuring optimal product coverage.
- Conduct on‑site demonstrations and field trials of hybrid corn seed and pesticide products, providing technical guidance to farmers.
- Gather market intelligence on crop cycles, competitor activities, and farmer preferences to inform strategic planning.
- Build and maintain relationships with local retailers, cooperatives, and agricultural extension officers.
- Prepare and deliver regular reports on sales performance, market penetration, and feedback from the field.
- Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely delivery of seed and pesticide consignments.
- Organize and lead farmer training sessions, focusing on best practices for planting, pest management, and yield optimization.
- Utilize negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with distributors and achieve sales targets.
- Monitor and uphold compliance with safety regulations, ensuring all promotional activities are conducted responsibly.
Requirements
- Male candidates aged between 20 and 45 years (all genders welcome to apply).
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; preferably a D3 or S1 degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, or a related field.
- Residency in East Java, specifically the Banyuwangi or Probolinggo regions.
- Prior experience in marketing hybrid corn seed is highly preferred; experience with pesticides is a plus.
- In‑depth knowledge of the local corn production landscape and familiarity with R1 and R2 distribution channels.
- Valid motorcycle driver’s license (SIM C) and ownership of a reliable motorbike for field visits.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a proven ability to conduct farmer outreach and training.
- Strong negotiation abilities, a proactive attitude, and a willingness to work hard in challenging environments.
- Good physical health and mental resilience to handle extensive field work.
