Introduction

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Intern to join our Human Resources Department at a leading hospitality hotel. Responsibilities

  • Assist the HR team in the recruitment cycle, including posting job advertisements, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
  • Support the onboarding process by preparing new‑hire documentation, conducting welcome orientations, and ensuring a smooth transition for new employees.
  • Maintain and update the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) with accurate employee data, attendance records, and training logs.
  • Participate in employee engagement initiatives, such as wellness programs, recognition events, and feedback surveys.
  • Conduct basic research on labor laws, industry best practices, and hotel-specific HR policies to aid senior staff in decision‑making.
  • Help coordinate internal training sessions, compile training materials, and track participation metrics.
  • Provide administrative support for performance appraisal cycles, including document distribution and data collection.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (e.g., Operations, Finance, IT) to ensure HR initiatives align with overall hotel objectives.
  • Attend weekly HR meetings, take minutes, and follow up on action items as directed.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the HR Manager that contribute to the efficient operation of the department.

Requirements

  • Active enrollment in a college or vocational program, pursuing a diploma (D3/D4) or higher.
  • Major should be related to Hospitality, Tourism, Culinary Arts, Accounting, Information Technology, Engineering, or Human Resources.
  • Internship must satisfy the mandatory program requirements of the student’s school or university.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with staff at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Well‑groomed appearance, disciplined work ethic, and a professional attitude.
  • Proficiency in English is preferred; basic conversational skills are acceptable.
  • Willingness to adhere to the internship schedule set by the hotel and the educational institution.
  • Familiarity with Human Resource Management Systems (HRMS) or a keen interest in learning such tools.
