Introduction
We are seeking a dynamic and reliable Pelayan Restoran dan Kasir to join our vibrant team at Rasa Nusantara, a fast‑growing restaurant that blends traditional Indonesian flavors with modern hospitality standards. This full‑time position offers a stable schedule from Monday to Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00, allowing the right candidate to develop both front‑of‑house service expertise and cash‑handling proficiency in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
The successful applicant will play a dual role, balancing guest‑focused service with accurate point‑of‑sale operations. Core duties include, but are not limited to:
- Warmly greeting guests, escorting them to their tables, and presenting menus with detailed knowledge of daily specials.
- Taking food and beverage orders accurately, communicating them to kitchen staff, and ensuring timely delivery.
- Serving dishes and drinks while monitoring guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience.
- Operating the cashier system (POS), processing cash, credit, and digital payments, and issuing receipts.
- Balancing cash drawers at the beginning and end of each shift, reporting any discrepancies promptly.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of dining areas, tables, and service stations.
- Assisting with inventory checks, restocking napkins, condiments, and tableware as needed.
- Collaborating closely with kitchen, bar, and fellow service staff to ensure smooth workflow.
- Handling guest inquiries, special requests, and minor complaints with professionalism and a solution‑oriented mindset.
- Participating in regular team briefings and training sessions to stay updated on menu changes and service standards.
Requirements
To thrive in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Female, maximum age of 26 years.
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience in restaurant waiting or cashier duties (experience can be combined).
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team setting and take initiative independently.
- Strong loyalty and commitment to maintaining high standards of service.
- Excellent communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia; basic English is a plus.
- Familiarity with standard cashier (POS) systems and basic math proficiency.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and carry trays safely.
- Positive attitude, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for hospitality.
