Introduction

We are seeking a dedicated Guru Diniyah (Pengajar Pendidikan Agama Islam) to join our esteemed Islamic educational foundation. This role is pivotal in nurturing the spiritual and moral development of young learners through comprehensive religious instruction. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high‑quality Islamic education, fostering a supportive classroom environment, and contributing to the broader mission of cultivating knowledgeable and ethically grounded members of the community.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver engaging lesson plans covering Quranic recitation, tafsir, hadith studies, and Islamic ethics.
  • Assess student progress through regular quizzes, oral examinations, and personalized feedback, ensuring mastery of core religious concepts.
  • Develop supplemental teaching materials, including visual aids, worksheets, and digital resources, to accommodate diverse learning styles.
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers and administrative staff to align curricula with the foundation’s educational standards and national guidelines.
  • Maintain classroom discipline and promote an atmosphere of respect, curiosity, and spiritual growth.
  • Organize extracurricular activities such as study circles, community service projects, and religious celebrations to deepen students’ practical understanding of Islam.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student performance, behavioral observations, and areas for improvement.
  • Participate in weekly faculty meetings, professional development workshops, and periodic curriculum review sessions.
  • Uphold the foundation’s code of conduct, adhere to scheduling requirements (Monday‑Saturday, 08:00‑17:00), and respect contractual commitments of at least one year.
  • Continuously improve teaching methodologies by staying informed of contemporary Islamic scholarship and pedagogical best practices.

Requirements

  • Male, Muslim, and committed to the values of Islamic education.
  • Minimum education: D3/D4 in Islamic Studies or Ma’had Aly; a S1 degree is highly preferred.
  • At least 1 year of proven teaching experience in a religious or formal education setting.
  • Strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to inspire young learners.
  • Demonstrated capability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with staff.
  • Willingness to adhere to the foundation’s policies, dress code, and ethical standards.
  • Commitment to a minimum one‑year contract, with flexibility for renewal based on performance.
  • Proficiency in lesson‑planning, classroom management, and student assessment techniques.
  • Passion for continuous professional development and a desire to contribute to community outreach programs.
