Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and plate a diverse menu of dishes, including rice boxes, pempek, snacks, and seasonal specialties, following standardized recipes and hygiene standards.
• Assist in menu development by suggesting new items, improving existing recipes, and ensuring that all meals meet the high‑quality expectations of our clientele.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen workspace, adhering to local health regulations and internal food‑safety protocols.
• Coordinate with the assistant cook and other kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow during peak service periods.
• Manage inventory of raw materials, report shortages, and help with ordering to minimize waste and control costs.
• Train and mentor junior kitchen personnel, fostering a culture of continuous learning and teamwork.
• Monitor cooking times, temperatures, and portion sizes to guarantee consistency across all orders.
• Participate in regular kitchen meetings to discuss performance metrics, customer feedback, and process improvements.

Requirements

• Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; graduates of SMK Culinary Arts (Tataboga) are strongly preferred.
